Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 23 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of German Campus at germancampus.com (the “website”), including all articles, web stories, free tools, newsletters and downloads. German Campus is run by Kumar Ashish in Germany. By using the website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. What German Campus offers

German Campus publishes free guides, news and tools for international students, job seekers and young expats in Germany. All content is general information. It is not legal, immigration, tax, financial or medical advice and does not replace advice from a qualified professional or the responsible authority. Please also read our Disclaimer.

3. Free tools

Our tools, such as the calculators, the German level test, the letter translator, the CV builder, the interview coaches and the shopping assistant, give estimates and suggestions based on the information you enter and on general rules that can change. Results can be incomplete or wrong for your personal situation. Always check important decisions, for example about visas, money, taxes or health, with the official source. Some tools use third-party services, which are described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Using the website fairly

You may use the website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not:

  • use the website in a way that breaks the law or the rights of others;
  • try to get unauthorised access to the website, its systems or other users’ data;
  • overload the website, for example with automated mass requests, scraping or bots that are not search engines;
  • copy, republish or sell our articles, tools or designs without our written permission.

5. Content you send us

When you send us feedback, comments, questions or a book reservation, you confirm that the information is yours to share and that it is lawful and respectful. We may use feedback and suggestions to improve the website without any obligation to you. A book reservation is free and does not oblige you to buy anything. We only use your details as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Copyright and trademarks

The texts, graphics, tools, logo and design of German Campus are protected by copyright and belong to German Campus or its licensors. You may share links to our pages and quote short parts with a clear link to the source. Free templates and downloads may be used for your own personal purposes, but not resold or republished as your own.

7. Advertising and affiliate links

The website is free because it shows advertising, including Google AdSense ads, and some links are affiliate links. If you buy or sign up through an affiliate link, German Campus may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Our recommendations are independent, and we always explain what to compare so you can decide yourself.

8. External links

We link to official authorities, universities and other websites for your convenience. We have no control over their content, availability or data practices and are not responsible for them. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.

9. Products and the book

When we offer paid products, such as our book, the price and conditions shown at the time of purchase apply. Any purchase is handled under the terms of the shop or platform where you buy.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the website available and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or complete. We may change, pause or remove content and tools at any time.

11. Liability

German Campus is a free service. We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are only liable if we breach an essential obligation (an obligation that makes the use of the website possible in the first place and on which you can normally rely), and then only for the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise our liability is excluded. Mandatory statutory liability, for example under the German Product Liability Act, remains unaffected.

12. Privacy and cookies

How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the website or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Please check this page from time to time.

14. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you use the website as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live still apply to you.
